Images[]

While all good-faith contributions to Wookieepedia are appreciated, we ask that you please refer toWookieepedia:Images, which can be found under the "other policies and guidelines" link in your welcome message, and familiarize yourself with the sourcing and licensing requirements before uploading any more images. The only uploading method supported by Wookieepedia,Special:Upload, will prompt you to enter this information. Wikia's non-standard upload forms are not supported under Wookieepedia policy, and ignorance of the uploading rules is not an acceptable excuse. Continued violation of the image policy or falsification of any information in an upload description are considered vandalism and will likely result in a block. Re:Blocked[]

To reply to your message on Community Central, you are not blocked on Wookieepedia. Rather, it appears that the IP you were using to edit from is aproxy, which we typically ban on sight bypolicy due to the high potential for abuse. The safest option for everyone is to edit from a standard residential IP address. I ask that you please do not reply to this message on Community Central again, as I don't discuss Wookieepedia issues off-site, and your original message there has already been removed. You're welcome to speak to me or another admin on ourIRC channel at any time.Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 06:31, January 14, 2020 (UTC)

Nik Sant was portrayed in Return of the Jedi by Lynn Berner of Klamath, CA. Lynn owned the land on which the Endor scenes were shot and was given an extra role in exchange for the use of the land. Lynn was 38 at the time and contrary to popular belief, he did not have white hair and beard. Lynn has very, very light blonde hair, almost Albino in appearance.

I know this because Lynn is my first cousin once removed and I've known him since I was a kid and talked to him to confirm this information. He's 73 now and still lives on the land.

I don't have an account and am probably formatting this wrong, but I will check back to see if anyone has questions or comments. Hell, you can look up his phone online and call and ask him about it. Don't tell him I told you to do that. lol I tried to put some of this on the main page, but someone removed it right away. There's no online place for it for a citation, so... Templates[]

Please note that 1stm should be used for items under the Appearances/Sources section where the subject is first mentioned, even if the subject is only mentioned once. It's similar to the External links section, which should be spelt "External links" even if only one link is listed per ourLayout Guide. Thank you. - - -OOM 224༼༽{talk}༼༽ 22:51, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

Noted. Thanks for the notice.SorcererSupreme21 (talk) 22:55, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

Cleanup template added toStewart McKenny[]

Hi mate,

I've been working on Stewart's article over time and noticed you added the cleanup template. I've removed it just now but wanted to touch base and check if there was a particular reason it was added, as I can't see anything major missing that would warrant the template's use?

Thanks!Manoof(he/him/his) (talk) 13:21, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

I added Cleanup because the introduction section has things such as "toy enthusiast and cat owner" and "He has a unique ability to change his drawing style, making his artwork popular," which don't strike me as the kind of writing Wookieepedia typically uses. I do concede that putting it on the talk page instead would have been more appropriate.SorcererSupreme21 (talk) 22:18, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
  • All good, I just wasn't sure what it was in telation to as the template mentions the Layout Guide which Ive been double checking and getting confused :) Those words are used in his bio information on most sites hence why I added it, but its intro-exclusive as we only document info relevant to their Star Wars works, but a brief mention of other things is acceptable in the intro. I'll have a think on how to maybe phrase it better.Manoof(he/him/his) (talk) 03:12, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

Grevious' mother[]

There's only one mention of his mother so there's no need to say that she was first mentioned in something, if she got another mention then at that point the 'first' bit can be added. Also regarding the intro, the page was just recently brought to status, so there doesn't appear to be a need to change the wording, you would better to contactUser:Editoronthewiki before any such changes were made to the introLewisr (talk) 22:34, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

Understandable. Would it be more appropriate to leave something on his talk page or @ him on Discord?SorcererSupreme21 (talk) 22:44, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

Edit summaries[]

Hello. For the future, please keep youredit summaries a little bit more mature. Thanks! 23:58, 25 October 2022 (UTC)

Blocked[]

You were issued a one month block for comments made on Discord, and in accordance with that you've been removed from the server. You may rejoin when your block expires.Supreme EmperorHolocomm 04:36, 6 April 2023 (UTC)

Cool, except for two things: the block was for two months, and this official notification of said block was posted an entire month after it started.SorcererSupreme21 (talk) 05:27, 6 May 2023 (UTC)

Moving article[]

Hey, please consult in the talk page of an article before making any moves, especially on status articles.Bonzane10Sabine Starbird(holonet) 04:30, 9 August 2023 (UTC)

  • I did. No one responded for over two months, so I figured there wasn't any harm in going ahead with the move. Besides, I don't see any reason to leave Candace out of the title, since she and Phineas shared the same father.SorcererSupreme21 (talk) 06:59, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
    • Yeah, that's my bad. Never realized it was up since May.Bonzane10Sabine Starbird(holonet) 11:49, 14 August 2023 (UTC)

Status articles[]

Hey there, I've noticed that after a number of status articles pass that you then go to edit them, the latest beingon Catarine Towani. Is there a reason that you're not leaving these kind of suggestions on the nomination pages? The Catarine one for example has a lot of changes which really should have been suggested beforehand and it's a bit of a bad practice to continually alter them once passed. In future please use the nomination pages, thanksLewisr (talk) 01:09, 13 April 2024 (UTC)

I usually intend to, but I also often forget until after the nomination has passed. I enjoy reading new status articles, and while I normally try to restrict things I think need changing to fixing links or errors (grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc.) — which I gather is normally fine — the specific case ofCatarine Towani had a lot of individually minor things I thought were simply overlooked or could be improved, which, yeah, given how many individual changes I ended up making, I should have remembered to mention it on the nomination discussion page before it passed. I'll try to remember to put my thoughts on nomination pages more in the future.SorcererSupreme21 (talk) 23:09, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
  • Just want to remind you about this. Again, it's a bit of a bad practice to routinely alter status articles right after they've passed.Wok142 (talk) 21:37, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Please take this om board, it really is becoming very common that you do this now. The nomination pages are there for a reasonLewisr (talk) 19:39, 8 September 2024 (UTC)

Voting[]

Hi SorcererSupreme21, hope you are doing well! I noticed that you have cast two votes inForum:CT:TC template quote / tweaks#Quote. But as all users are allowed to vote once, could you please strike either one of your two votes? Thanks,TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurdersAnıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 00:31, 10 May 2024 (UTC)

Koho[]

Hello, it's been a few days since we discussed yourobjections on Koho and I was just wondering if you wouldn't mind striking it? I normally wouldn't ping someone about objections like this but a) it ended up being more of a comment then an objection (which seems to be resolved, unless I'm mistaken), and b) it has attained enough votes to pass, so our conversation is the only thing holding it back at this point. Hope you don't take this as me being too impatient with you but if you wouldn't mind marking it off I would really appreciate it. Thanks!Wok142 (talk) 21:08, 11 May 2024 (UTC)

Re: wording preference[]

Hey, thanks for reaching out. I wouldn't say it's a strong preference but it is what I still choose to use, and we're still essentially leaving it up to the writer to choose in this particular case. 04:27, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

Tense on Marda Ro's sire[]

Hi there, I reverted because I was under the impression that family can either be plural or singular depending on preference. As Britannica puts it, "it may be used with a singular or a plural verb depending on whether the speaker feels that "family" is being described as a unit or as a group of individuals." In this case, I was of the opinion that it should be the nominator's preference and not yours. However, I've realized that this is British English convention and not American English. As such, I've reverted back to what you changed it to. Good catch. While I'm here, I'll also point out that you still seem to be in the habit of editing status articles right after they pass, which again is not good practice to do as it circumvents the whole process of collaborative reviewing. Try to leave these things on the review page next time. Thank you.Wok142 (talk) 07:13, 8 September 2024 (UTC)

Striking objection[]

Hey, thanks for using the nom page, just to note onIncinerator that you need to strike your objection. Thanks!Lewisr (talk) 02:42, 10 September 2024 (UTC)

Re: Userpage[]

Regarding your userpage, it is inappropriate to include personal images of other Wookieepedians on your page without their express permission, and Brandon has told the admin team that he did not authorize you to use that nor does he want it used. You are welcome to readd the gallery with the Linux image, but do not readd Brandon's photos.CadeGalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkitCalrayn 18:44, 4 October 2024 (UTC)

  • Is that against policy?WP:USER says nothing about using such images on userpages. If so, then it should be added for clarity.SorcererSupreme21 (talk) 20:32, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
    • This falls under thecivility section of our policy, especially since Brandon has asked for them not to be used. If you feel an addition should be made to explicitly forbid this more clearly, you're welcome to start avote to add it to the policy.Ayrehead02 (talk) 21:05, 4 October 2024 (UTC)

SA copy-edits[]

Bringing this to your attention. I would heavily encourage you to object more for things like this rather than full-on rewriting, especially as there isn't a visible note of sorts anywhere of Imp being made aware of that change being made (which was ultimately inaccurate year-wise). Several other copy-edits made in the last few weeks wouldalso be better off left as objections: significant rewrites of prose phrasing or context additions are both valid objections that can be left for users to fix. There's also a lot of additions of region context to planets mentioned in prose likehere and wanted to point out that it's not a requirement nor has been so long as the subject is contexted as a planet at minimum. I don't think many would mind adding it if asked, but repeatedly adding it to several status articles when it's not a requirement and is only personal preference and then further not informing nominators about it really isn't the most polite. At a minimum, leaving a link to your copy-edit next to your vote with something like "Review note: see changes" or "See my copy-edit" is a bit more transparent when, again, doing things like rewriting 3/4 of the BTS or something larger like that.spookywillowwtalk 02:37, 9 August 2025 (UTC)

  • That's fair. I sometimes get carried away; I just think of something beyond that would improve the article beyond fixing basic errors or minor rewording for flow (barring that publication year typo) and I sometimes just want to make those changes myself.SorcererSupreme21 (talk) 13:51, 10 August 2025 (UTC)
