Trypto Buball was analienmaleagriculturalbaron who grew wealthy due to the vastspace-fungi farming colonies that his family owned.[2] In34 ABY,[4] he was a guest[5] at theCanto Casino and Racetrack in thecityCanto Bight on theplanetCantonica and was standing near a row ofgaming machines when fellow patronDobbu Scay mistook theastromech droidBB-8 for one of thedevices.[1]

Buball was later standing in thecasino crowds near BB-8's companionsFinn andRose Tico when the pair spotted thegambler known as theMaster Codebreaker.[6] While at the casino, the baron wore ablacksuit with a white trim along with blackboots, whitechaps, and a white padded collar. He used a dark blue and silvercane to walk and had dark pink skin, yelloweyes, and a graymustache.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

Trypto Buball first appeared in thesequel trilogy filmStar Wars: Episode VIIIThe Last Jedi,[1] which was released onDecember 15,2017.[7] Concept art of the character was created byJake Lunt Davies and during production Buball was known as "Turkey Guy." The character was portrayed byAidan Cook[8] and unused B-roll footage of Buball shows him on other parts of the casino floor, including a close-up of the alien looking over the shoulder of ahuman casino guest.[9] The character was first identified in the reference bookStar Wars: The Last Jedi: The Visual Dictionary, which was written byPablo Hidalgo[3] and released on the same day as the film.[10]
