Tia'dor Emshwa was an individual who served as aNew Republicsenator^[1] in5 ABY.^[2] Emshwa led a diplomaticmission to theplanetIthor in order to win theIthorians over to the new government. However, theirCR90 corvetteStarfall was captured by theSuper Star DestroyerAnnihilator, which had been taken over by thepirate leaderEleodie Maracavanya. Emshwa and the crew were allowed to leave in the ship'sescape pods but theStarfall and its cargo of food, medicine, technology and Ithorian artifacts were seized by Maracavanya's pirates. Two of the delegation's members,Kartessa andher mother, joined Maracavanya's crew,^[1] which became theSovereign Latitudes of Maracavanya.^[3]
