Publisher's summary[]

Born from the survivors of the Galactic Empire who escaped to the Unknown Regions at the end of the Galactic Civil War, the First Order appeared by surprise a few decades later to re-impose a yoke of tyranny and terror on the galaxy. Although their leader was a mysterious humanoid named Snoke, it was actually Palpatine himself who was behind his creation. Equipped with the most sophisticated weapons technology and the most fiercely loyal soldiers, the First Order was ready to rule the galaxy and had no apparent rival.
