Plot summary[]
Meetings are taking place to bring Cerea into the Republic. In exchange for access to Cerea's resources, the Republic representative promises technology. While the Elders wish to keep their low-tech lives, most of the younger generation, led by offworlder politicianBron wish to be brought up to speed with the rest of the galaxy. During a pro-tech rally, a misunderstanding causes Ki-Adi-Mundi to be accused of murder. Meanwhile, theChevin smugglerEphant Mon has begun scouting resources on the idyllic world.
