Shyla Merricope was aHuman female Corellian Diktat who worked withGarm Bel Iblis to prevent the comingwar from spilling over into theCorellian system.

Biography[]

In22 BBY, in the months leading up to theClone Wars, Shyla Merricope andSenator Iblis withdrew theCorellian sector from theGalactic Republic in protest of theMilitary Creation Act. Since the Corellians proved to be one of the harshest critics against theGrand Army that the Republic established. After the announcement of Corellia's withdrawal, Shyla stated at a press conference since she couldn't allow other worlds to use their own security units to battle against theConfederacy of Independent Systems. She was later replaced byDupas Thomree.
