TheRomary was crewed byCaptainPerrili and three others in34 ABY. It was an older design at that point.She soldfuel to various clients, including theResistance. After receiving the payment, she would leave the fuel at a predetermined location.[2]
During one delivery, theFirst Order discovered the sale and captured thefreighter first,executing Perrili and the crew. By thetime the Resistance'sBlack Squadronarrived to collect the fuel, theRomary's tanks had been emptied into aFirst Order tanker and rigged into a bomb.[2]
BlackSquadron discovered the trap, and flew theship to buy time before it blew. They were able to catch up to the First Order strike force, leavingJessika Pava'sastromech droidKaythree to fly theRomary. Black Squadron forced them to leave the fuel behind. TheRomary then blew up, having triggered the bomb.[4]
