Ridge was aclone trooper who served in theGrand Army of the Republic during theClone Wars. In22 BBY, Ridge was dispatched with theRepublicunitTorrent Company to theplanetTeth to recover theHuttletRotta, in order to gain access tohyperspace routes controlled byhisfather,Jabba Desilijic Tiure, for the RepublicArmy. As the Republictroops arrived at Teth in theirLow Altitude Assault Transport/infantrygunships, theConfederatebattle droid forces stationed there opened fire, forcing thegunships to land. The ensuingbattle resulted in the rescue of Rotta, but came at the expense of thedeaths of Ridge and all but six of Torrent Company'sclonetroopers.

Biography[]

Theclone trooper who adopted the name Ridge^[4] was one of the manyclones of theMandalorianbounty hunterJango Fett,^[5] raised on theplanetKamino^[1] to fight for theGalactic Republic.^[5] During theClone Wars, Ridge was part of theGrand Army of the Republic, serving underCaptainRex andJedi GeneralAnakin Skywalker inTorrent Company, aunit of the Republic's famed501st Legion.^[3]

In22 BBY,^[2] Ridge and Torrent Company were deployed to rescueJabba Desilijic Tiure's son,Rotta theHuttlet, on the planet ofTeth, in order to gain access tohyperspace routes inHutt Space controlled by Jabba for the Grand Army of the Republic. Along with Rex, Skywalker, and the latter's newly assignedPadawan,Ahsoka Tano, Ridge traveled in aLow Altitude Assault Transport/infantrygunship to the planet surface. During the flight, another trooper informed Ridge thathiscomlink had a malfunction, and Ridge quickly corrected it.^[4]

The Confederate forces on Teth kept Rotta captive within anold monastery,^[4] which sat on a half-mile high mesa.^[6] Thegunships were fired upon by the Confederatedroid forces as they descended, however, forcing them to land under the monastery and deploy their troops to climb up the cliff face of the mesa.^[4] In the ensuingbattle, Ridge waskilled. Although Skywalker was ultimately able to retrieve andreturn Rotta to his father, all but six of Torrent Company's clonetroopers died at Teth.^[3][4]

Personality and traits[]

Ridge was a loyal clone trooper and obeyed the orders given to him. When his comlink malfunctioned, he was able to repair it quickly.^[4] Like all Fett clones,^[5] Ridge was 1.83meters tall.^[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Ridge first appeared as a background character in the2008 filmStar Wars: The Clone Wars. He, like all clone troopers in the film, was voiced byDee Bradley Baker.^[4]
