- "You are aware that I maintain a network of... well-placed individuals who share information with me from time to time that might aid the Resistance?"
- ―C-3PO, to Poe Dameron[4]
TheResistance spy droid network[7] was a group ofdroids acrossthe galaxy used asspies for theResistance during theCold War. The network was run byC-3PO.[3]
Poe Dameron had the network look into who had placed aFirst Order tracking device onBlack One before themission to Ovanis.[1] During theMission to Kaddak, aMSE-6 series repair droid has the information and downloaded intoBB-8.[8] A short while later, after failing to activate the tracking device on BB-8, C-3PO had the network look out for the droid.[9] One of the droid spies,GA-97, located BB-8 inTakodana Castle, which allowedResistance forces to arrive there intime for theBattle of Takodana.[5]
With theevacuation of D'Qar, C-3PO put the network into suspension, telling his droidagents to go underground.[7]
C-3PO later made contact with his droid contacts on Takodana in order to get ahold ofMaz Kanata when Dameron,Finn andRose Tico were coming up with a plan to disable thetracker on theMega-class Star DreadnoughtSupremacy.[10]
