Arefresher,[1] also known as alavatory,[2] abathroom,[3] arestroom,[4] aprivy,[5] or, colloquially, afresher,[6] was a room designed for personal hygiene. They could be found in numerous locations, such asImperial academies[7] orstarships such as the690 light freighter. Some restrooms containedsonics, which could be used in the absence ofwater.[1] Certain refresher units were capable of turning the wastes into compost.[6] At theResistance base onD'Qar, there were rows of refreshers, each with a symbol of a drop of water on its door.[8] According toFinn, a formerFirst Orderstormtrooper, there were 1,822 bathrooms on a First OrderStar Destroyer.[9]Supreme ChancellorSheev Palpatine'soffice had a private refresher.[6]
