- "I know that you have wrested control of not only theVigilance, but of theRavager, too. And likely the fleet that goes with it. Imagine that. Little Rae Sloane, manning an entire Super Star Destroyer all by herself. Our last, isn't it?"
- ―Valco Pandion, to Rae Sloane[10]
TheRavager was anExecutor-class Star Dreadnought of theImperial Navy. It was also one of the largest and most powerfulmilitarywarships ever constructed by theGalactic Empire. By thetime of theRebellion on Akiva, theRavager was known to be the last remainingSuper Star Destroyer in the ImperialNavy, commanded byFleet Admiral—and laterCounselor to the Empire—Gallius Rax, who was presumeddead by the majority of the remaining Imperials in themonths following theBattle of Endor.
Description[]
One of the largest and most powerfulvessels ever created for theGalactic Empire, theRavager was 19,000meters long, and boasted more than 5,000turbolasers andion cannons. Like otherExecutor-class Star Dreadnoughts, the center of its arrowhead-shapedhull was covered by acity-like superstructure, while the underside hosted most of the engineering systems. The aft end of theRavager was marked by a trapezoidcommand tower crowned by two geodesic communication anddeflection domes. At the bottom end of the hull were 13engine thrusters responsible for its movement.[4]
Gallius Rax's office on theRavager featured an aquarium full of diaphanous watercreatures, weapons, an ornate tapestry and aholo-map ofthe galaxy. TheRavager also had a private upper garden, which Rax used for recreational purposes.[5]
History[]
Rax's flagship[]

The Super Star DestroyerRavager after the Battle of Endor
Constructed byKuat Drive Yards,[3] theRavager served as theflagship of Gallius Rax.[10] Prior to theBattle of Endor, Rax and theRavager were sent byEmperorPalpatine to hide in theVulpinus Nebula until the events of ashatterpoint felt by Palpatine were resolved.[6] In themonths following the pivotal battle that saw theAlliance to Restore the Republic destroy the Galactic Empire'ssecond Death Star and theExecutor, flagship ofDarthVader'sDeath Squadron,[13] it eventually became the last knownSuper Star Destroyer in Imperial possession. Due to this, theRavager became the most prized ship in theImperial Navy, sought by self-appointedGrand MoffValco Pandion. Aware of its power, Pandion attended theImperial meeting onAkiva to seize control of theRavager, rumored to be in possession ofAdmiralRae Sloane, commander of theVigilance. Secretly an envoy of Rax, Sloane returned to the bridge of theRavager, then located near the VulpinusNebula, to report the failed negotiations to him after theRebellion on Akiva.[10]
In5 ABY,[14] theRavager continued to serve as the headquarters of the now-Grand Admiral Sloane, who commandedImperial forces in the Vulpinus Nebula. In reality, Sloane served as a front forFleet Admiral Rax, who posed as heradviser. Under Rax's orders, Sloane convened theShadow Council to rebuild the Empire. Rax used theRavager to initiate theattack onChandrila. Following Sloane's disappearance on Chandrila, now-Counselor to the Empire Rax used the ship to command the Imperialfleet scattered across thegalaxy.[5]
Battle of Jakku[]
- "No. My ship."
- ―Rae Sloane upon seeing theRavager taking damage during the the Battle of Jakku[6]

TheRavager engages in combat with theAmity
Months later, theRavager served as the flagship of the Empire, which had relocated toJakku. During theBattle of Jakku, theRavager acted as the Imperialcommand ship and was commanded by Grand MoffRandd. Randd's tacticians devised a tactic of having the otherStar Destroyers encircle theRavager to form a defensive perimeter. Throughout the battle, theStar Destroyers would open formation to allow theRavager to bombard theNew Republic Defense Fleet.New Republicforces under Fleet AdmiralAckbar succeeded in tightening the Imperial formations but were unable to break through.[6]
Randd's strategy unraveled whenCaptainGroff of the Star DestroyerPunishment rammed into theStarhawk-class battleshipAmity, which created a gap in the Imperial lines and allowedCommodoreKyrsta Agate to position her StarhawkConcord in the gap and bombard theRavager. Despite being crippled by theRavager'scannons, Agate managed to use her ship's powerfultractor beam projector to drag the Super Star Destroyer into Jakku'satmosphere. New Republic starships and fighters also pummeled theRavager's engines, disabling the ship. Amidst the chaos, Randd fled into anescape pod.[6]

TheRavager's resting place in the Graveyard of Giants
After theConcord's tractor beam failed, theRavager's thrusters attempted to stabilize, but overcompensated, inverting the Empire's final Super Star Destroyer. TheRavager crashed in an area that became known as theGraveyard of Giants, crushing anAT-ATwalker and severalstarfighters in the process. The destruction of theRavager turned the tide of the battle in the New Republic's favor. Following the Battle of Jakku, the Empire capitulated and signed theGalactic Concordance with the New Republic.[6]
Legacy[]
After it crashed, its rusting halls gained a sinister reputation among scavengers.[15] In34 ABY, twenty-nineyears after its crash,Reypiloted theMillennium Falcon through the wreckage of theRavager while evading aFirst OrderTIE fighter whileescaping, withFinn andBB-8, from Jakku.[9]
