Rangefinders were targeting devices onhelmet antennas. They could slide overmacrobinocular viewplates to enhance targeting displays.[1] They were a common accessory onMandalorian helmets,[2] and were also worn by someclone trooperofficers[3] andARC troopers to signify their rank, these were used on bothPhase I[4] andPhase II armor.[5]
