Thequad laser cannon, orquadlaser, was a type of weaponry commonly used on smallfreighters such as theYT-Series of transports (most notably theMillennium Falcon),XS stock light freighters, or (in theory)Dynamic-class freighters.
They varied in size, from the relatively small versions mounted on theMillennium Falcon to larger variants mounted on smaller warships like theLancer-class frigate.K-wing assault fighters were armed with quadlaser cannons.
Even heavierquad turbolasers were mounted on bigger warships such as theLucrehulk-class battleship or used as ground artillery.
Quadlasers were illegal underImperial jurisdiction by the time of theGalactic Civil War, punishable by a considerable prison sentence.[1]
An example of the quad laser cannon was theAG-2G quad laser cannon, of which theMillennium Falcon had two.
