Magma was the liquid state ofrock when melted by some means, from the internal heating of aplanet or by a hot body such as astar. Upon reaching the surface of a planet, via such processes asvolcanoes, magma became known aslava.
It was occasionallymined on such planets asMustafar. OnQat Chrystac, the magma was highlyradioactive.
