There were multiple variants of the MC75, including theMC75 Armored Cruiser[22] and theMC75 Ordnance Cruiser.[23] Additionally, there was theMC75B Star Cruiser, which differentiated in not having the outrigger ventral fin but rather large horizontal masts at the rear and an additional module near theengines.[24]

There was also theMC75C Star Cruiser,[24] which also lacked the ventral outrigger fin and was instead placed on the dorsal hull at the rear of thecruiser. Another MC75 warship lacked the fin, and was rather designed with a large ridge at the center-rear of the ship, with a module placed on top. A fourth variation also differed from the base MC75 Star Cruiser by having two sets of horizontal masts, one large set at the midship and a second smaller set towards the aft. This variation had multiple modules throughout its hull.[25]

TheMC85 Star Cruiser was a 3,438.37meters longheavyStar Cruiser jointly manufactured by theMon Calamari Shipyards and theCorellian Engineering Corporation. Created for service in theNew Republic Defense Fleet, the MC85's interior was designed to be more amenable to non-amphibious crew members than previous MC-series.[28] Due to being constructed after theNew Republic'sMilitary Disarmament Act was enacted, MC85 was designed to be a highly automated ship, able to operate at full capacity with only skeleton crews; the vessel also was equipped with a minimal amount of weaponry, but compensated for this with extra powerfuldeflector shields.[29] One MC85, theRaddus, served as the flagship of theResistance navy until it was destroyed in theBattle of Oetchi.[30]
