Behind the scenes[]

The Lipsecsystem was first mentioned in the currentStar Warscanon on agalactic map inStar Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a2016Fantasy Flight Games'Star Wars Roleplaying boxed set.^[1] It was then identified by name in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with theStar Wars Galaxy Map onStarWars.com^[2] onJune 24, 2025. Both works were authored byJason Fry.^[5]

TheLipsec system was originally introduced in theStar Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the2009 reference bookThe Essential Atlas, written byDaniel Wallace and Jason Fry.^[6] Thesystem subsequently made its first appearance inThe Clone Wars: Act on Instinct, awebcomic authored byPablo Hidalgo and released on StarWars.com^[7] over the span of the 2009^[8]–2010^[9]second season of theStar Wars: The Clone Wars television series.^[8]
