Lindon Javes was ahumanmale member of theRebel Alliance and later theNew Republic Defense Force. Ascending theranks of the Alliance byhuntingImperialstarships, he found he excelled in commanding and led several successful missions, later being given command ofVanguard Squadron. WhenGeneralHera Syndulla reviewed a plan toattack the ImperialplanetPandem Nai, Javes agreed with the predictions made by the plan'sdeveloper.

Early life[]
Lindon Javes wasborn onTodirium III, where he served in theTodirium militia. He had a sister namedDela, who at some pointdied during what Javes' file referred to as "hazardous maneuvers."[1]
Galactic Empire[]

"Yes. Wipe out all that remains of Alderaan."
"How? I understood that the survivors were in hiding."

Javes was recruited into theGalactic Empire'sImperial Starfighter Corps onReega II and gained expertise in advanced hazardous flight training, going on to become a qualifiedflight instructor. He served as acaptain in theImperial Navy andcommanding officer ofHelix Squadron. Following thedestruction of[1] theplanet[6]Alderaan[1] in0 BBY,[7]Darth Vader had given an order to hunt down any refugees who had escaped the planet's destruction. Javes was ultimately given the assignment, though Javes had no intentions of killing innocent civilians and instead planned to rescue them. After hunting down the freighter with the civilians, Javes double crossed his wingmen and disabled their fighters with anion torpedo. When Alliance forces arrived to assist, Javes immediately defected. The Empire charged Javes with desertion and mutiny, punishable by execution; providing aid to the enemies of the Empire, also punishable by execution; and theft of Imperial property (1TIE/ad v1).[1]

After joining the rebels,hehunted Imperialcapital ships which allowed him to rise through theranks of the Alliance.[2]

By thetime after theBattle of Endor[1] in4 ABY,[7] despite still being a combat pilot at heart, Javes had learned of his talent for command. Accordingly, he coordinated several successful missions behind the Empire's lines. As theGalactic Civil War entered a new phase, Javes was given command of[2]Vanguard Squadron[1] as well as a classified assignment for theNew Republic.[2] He also worked as a special consultant forGeneralHera Syndulla.[8]

Severalweeks after the Battle ofEndor, Javes attended a session with Syndulla about a plan toattack the Empire's204th Imperial Fighter Wing at theplanetPandem Nai. When reviewing predictions made byLieutenantYrica Quell, the developer of the plan, Javes agreed with her.[3] In5 ABY,[9] he and Vanguard Squadron went on a mission in theBormea sector to better the New Republic's starship supply.[8]

Lindon Javes also draws the line when it comes to hurting unarmed refugees. He also take care of the well being of his team. He is also a bit hurt when he faced Terrisa again. Since the Master and his protege both command powerful fighter squadrons.

Skills and abilities[]
Javes was an experienced pilot and qualified flight[1] instructor, but later found that he worked well in positions of command.[2] Javes had expertise in advanced hazardous flight training.[1] Which was later exhibited after Javes was presumed dead by crashing into the Starhawk and later guiding his squadron to safety when the planet collapsed on top of them. He managed to handle himself well in dogfight against Titan Three.

Lindon Javes was created for the2020 video gameStar Wars: Squadrons,[10] portrayed byPhil Morris.[1] Javes was first mentioned in the2019 novelAlphabet Squadron, written byAlexander Freed,[3] and was first pictured in the reveal trailer forStar Wars: Squadrons onJune 15, 2020.[1] The character pictured in the trailer was identified as being Javes in an entry on theStarWars.comDatabank,[2] released onJune 18, 2020.[10]
