Ro Fenn's estate and the seat of theTwi'lek Ruling Council were located there. Like most cities on Ryloth, Lessu was located in the relatively narrow band of habitable land on thatplanet.
During theClone Wars, theSeparatist Droid Army, commanded byWat Tambor, took control of the planet and took the Twi'leksprisoner. TheSeparatists installed aplasma bridge, which they could turn on or shut down, as the only way to get into thecity.
Thecapital waslater freed by the combined forces offreedom fighters and theGalactic Republic, guided byJedi MasterMace Windu and rebel leaderCham Syndulla, with aerial support fromAnakin Skywalker andAhsoka Tano'sfightersquadron.
