The species had a keen sense of smell.^[1]Marino Pomana was a member of the species who worked as achef on the planetBegamor.^[2]Greez Dritus, thecaptain^[1] of theS-161 "Stinger" XL^[4]Stinger Mantis, was a Latero.^[1] The companyLatero Spaceworks, creator of the S-161 "Stinger" XL, shared its name with the species.^[4] The LateroGoonral Monshi was aJedi during theHigh Republic Era.^[5] The LateroHap was achef and owner ofHap's Sap Tap on the planetTenoo during the High Republic Era.^[4]
