A krayt dragon spits its venom on a group of Tusken Raiders.
Krayt dragon venom,[1] also known askrayt venom,[2] was agreenish yellow acidic fluid formed within the bodies ofkrayt dragons,[3] which helped those creatures pre-digest theirfood.[1] When threatened, a dragon could also project venom directly from itsmouth, causing the organic tissues of the target to dissolve.[3] Once dried and ground into an orange powder, krayt venom could be used as apoison. However, it was more difficult to obtain, and less toxic than other poisonous substances, such asrock wart venom orchall granules.Bib Fortuna,Jabba theHutt'smajordomo onTatooine, was known to carry krayt venom powder.[1]
