TheJedi Service Corps (JSC)^[2] was a part of theJedi Order and under the jurisdiction of theCouncil of Reassignment.^[1] This council helpedJedi younglings andPadawans who failed their training, and, while most returned to their homes, some sought to be reassigned to the Service Corps, as they desired to serve or possessed useful skills. As part of the Service Corps, aJedi was still able to serve theGalactic Republic, although they did not use alightsaber. However, during theClone Wars, a war in which the Jedi becamemilitary officers, the Service Corps became militarized.^[4]

Jedi Seekers founded theExploration Corps, also known as the ExplorCorps. The members of the Exploration Corps, which were mostly but not exclusively Seekers, were initially charged with charting the knowngalaxy, but their mission eventually expanded to discovering new planets, studying astronomical events and education. The ExplorCorps operated mainly on ships: instead of a headquarters, they utilizedpraxeum ships which served as portable temples and education centers.^[2]
