Description[]
Ithor was aplanet[8] of theOttega system[3] located in theNew Territories portion of[2]the galaxy'sMid Rim Territories, situated in theOttegan sector in grid square M-6 of theStandard Galactic Grid.[1] The expansivejungles of Ithor were considered to be sacred, andhunting there was highly illegal. Theirflora included the densen'lor trees, thecarnivorousjohinuu trees, a variety ofgreen and rust-hued bushes, and carpets of blue and pink ediblefungi. Their fauna included the rare and deadlymolsume, and thetoscwon.[4]
History[]
The Ithorians, who worshippedMother Jungle, long ago vowed to keep their homeworld pristine. They moved theirherds into greatfloating cities in the skies of Ithor, and eventually out into space. The planet was the center of atriennialHerd Meet, a meeting that was attended by every Ithorian herd ship.[11]
At some point, theGalactic Republic Navy participated in abattle on the planet against a vicious band ofpirates who were fighting against theJedi MasterOorrl Morm. Following Morm's sacrifice, which delayed the attacks of the pirates, a Republic Navywarship arrived and took the criminals into custody.[12]
The IthorianJho left Ithor to settle on the planetLothal, wherehe operated acantina known asOld Jho's Pit Stop.[13] At some point, an Ithorianrebel sympathizer namedMomaw Nadon was forced to reveal the secrets of Ithorianagricultural technology to theGalactic Empire to save his homeworld from destruction.[14]
In5 ABY,[15] aNew RepublicCR90 corvetteStarfall on a diplomaticmission to recruit Ithor to the nascentgalactic government led by theSenatorTia'dor Emshwa was boarded byEleodie Maracavanya'sSuper Star DestroyerAnnihilator.[16]

Ithor was thehomeworld of theIthorianspecies,[8] who spokeIthorese.[9]
