In3 ABY, a crack team ofRebel Alliance commandosinfiltrated theTarkin, anImperial superweapon, in an attempt to destroy thebattle station from within before its construction could be completed. The Rebels succeeded in sabotaging the station whenLeia Organa rewired theTarkin'ssuperlaser activating mechanism to fire on itself.
