TheImperial Troop Transport (ITT) was a transport model produced byUbrikkian Industries. Atroop transport like the Ubrikkian-madeK79-S80 Imperial Troop Transport, this version was flight-capable. It was used by theGalactic Empire andMoffGideon'sImperial remnant during theImperial andNew Republic Eras, and can be modified to transportstormtroopers and heavy weaponry to battle zones[7] or imperial prisoners to the prison where they would serve their sentence.[4]

TheImperialtransports featured a wedge-shaped fuselage and a forward boarding ramp. It was powered byengines and was armed with twin pairedlaser cannons.[2] Its interior could be modified to hold at least 36 standing stormtroopers[7] or at least 20 seated prisoners.[4]

History[]

One Imperial transport deployed multipleTK stormtroopers, one of which wasUbrik Adelhard, the future Grand Moff and governor of theAnoat sector, to put down aninsurrection onAbartolom.[8]

By9 BBY,[9] some transports were stationed at theGalactic Empire'sFortress Inquisitorius onNur.[10] During the siege ofJabiim, the Imperials deployed two such transports to besiege an anti-Imperial cell known as theHidden Path.[7]

A modified version, called theImperial Prison Transport[11], was used in5 BBY[12] to ferry prisoners from theNiamos courthouse to theprison where they would serve their sentence. They had caged windows and specialized seats which could be magnetized to have the prisoners' shackles attached on them, and lacked the twin laser cannons on the front. One such transport was used to carryCassian Jeron Andor to theImperial Prison Complex onNarkina 5 following his arrest onNiamos.[4]

One was stationed aboard theImperial II-class Star DestroyerTarkin's Will, and was used byrebelPathfinderSergeantKes Dameron andhiswife, therebel pilotShara Bey, to escape theTarkin's Will and return to the rebelflagshipHome One during theBattle of Panisia.[5] In approximately9 ABY,[13] they were used byMoffGideon'sImperial remnant. Two such transports participated in abattle on Tython to retrieveGrogu fromDin Djarin. After a retreat was ordered, both ships took off in an attempt to flee. However, amissile launched fromBoba Fett'sZ-6 jetpack caused one to crash into the other, destroying both.[2]

Legacy[]

TheFirst Order, the successor state to the Empire, employed theAAL-1971/9.1 Troop Transports, a similar model that deployed itsStormtroopers to battle and maintain the state's order and peace. In addition, theAAL-2100/9.5 atmospheric assault lander was another successor utilized by theFinal Order.
