Iain Lowson was the author of1998's "Down & Out on DB-24" in the UK-publishedPolyhedron2–3 and an author of theThe Official Star Wars Fact File, published2002 through2005. Before this, he worked onTitan'sOfficial Star Wars Magazine, as well as the original version of the UK Star Wars Fan Club. He was co-creator, editor and sole writer on the discontinuedDe Agostini follow-up to the Fact File, based on the Star Wars Miniatures game fromWizards of the Coast. That project, with floor plans from artist Andy J. Hepworth, was well received by fans in the few places it saw release, but never made it past issue four.

Iain later worked on the UK version of De Agostini'sStar Wars: The Official Starships & Vehicles Collection.
