TheHunter Fleet,[8] also known as theHunter Squad,[7] was anassault group of theGalactic Empire formed after theBattle of Hoth during theGalactic Civil War The assault group wascommanded by NavyCommanderEllian Zahra and tasked with destroying thefleet of theAlliance to Restore the Republic.[1] and operated all overthe galaxy. Shortly after theDuel on Cloud City, Zahra managed to track down theFourth Division and theEighth Division, attacking them simultaneously.[3]
The EighthDivision was destroyed by Zahra's forces in abattle near Malastare, while the Fourth Division suffered ten percent casualties during thebattle at Rendezvous Point Delta-Three since it managed to escape, thanks to the arrival of theMillennium Falcon.[3] Afterwards, theTarkin's Willdestroyed theSixth Division.[5]
The battle group was chased away during thebattle at Elessia by the combined fire power of the Fourth andSeventh Divisions.[1] Later it lost theUltima II whenAdmiralKalaxo and LieutenantBonnard were killed in action onboard their ISD byStarlight Squadron during theBattle of Ab Dalis where they tried destroying theEleventh Division duringOperation Starlight.[4]
Thefleet consisted of at least fourImperial-class Star Destroyers including itsflagship theTarkin's Will, as well as fourteenArquitens-class command cruisers. The fleet was also bolstered by anInterdictor vessel that was used in the destruction of the Eighth Division. In addition, among Zahra's naval forces wereTIE fighters of theTIE/ln,TIE/sa[1] andTIE/rb models.[3]
