Description[]
House Vizsla was aMandalorian house, orpolitical faction that was part ofMandalorian society and was led byClan Vizsla.[1] House Vizsla also contained otherMandalorian clans such asClan Saxon[20] andClan Wren.[21] One member of House Vizsla,Tarre Vizsla, created theDarksaber, which became an important symbol of the house and respected by all others.[12]
The house's emblem was ashriek-hawk, apredatorybird native to Mandalore. It would also eventually become the emblem of theDeath Watch.[22] The house had a peacetimesignet which predated theDeath Watch coup.[8]
History[]

Mandalorians bowing to a member of House Vizsla
The House was founded by Tarre Vizsla, the first MandalorianJedi and creator of the Darksaber.[2] At some point later, the Darksaber was kept in theJedi Temple. During thefall of the Old Republic, members of House Vizsla stole[4] Tarre Vizsla's Darksaber from the temple. With the Darksaber as a symbol of power, House Vizsla managed to conquer and unify all ofMandalore for a period of time.[12]

Mand'alor Pre Vizsla of the eponymous Mandalorian clan and house led the Death Watch.
Following theMandalorian Civil War, the head of House and Clan Vizsla,Pre Vizsla became theGovernor ofConcordia. While publicly supporting theNew Mandalorians' pacifist government underDuchessSatine Kryze, Vizsla secretly led Death Watch in a secret alliance withCountDooku'sConfederacy of Independent Systems.[4]
During thereign of theGalactic Empire, House Vizsla sided with the Empire in hopes of gaining more power under the leadership of Mandalore’s Imperial GovernorGar Saxon[23] of Clan Saxon. House Vizsla would seeinternal conflict following askirmish on Krownest, between Clans Saxon and Wren, with Clan Saxon having Imperial support.[20]
During theNew Republic Era,Paz Vizsla was part ofthe Tribe,[24] a group of theChildren of the Watch, who were a religious Mandalorian sect that followed theMandalorian Creed and theWay of the Mandalore.[25] The group lived in aMandalorian covert onNevarro. FollowingDin Djarin'smission to rescueGrogu, aForce-sensitive child, Paz Vizsla and the rest of the tribe were drawn into public action.[24] Their reveal resulted in the covert's destruction by anImperial remnant led byMoffGideon.[26] Paz and "The Armorer" were the only two survivors alongside Din Djarin. Following Djarin'squest[2] to bring Grogu to the Jedi,[27] Djarin, Paz, and the Armorer reconnected on thespace stationGlavis Ringworld, where they began anothercovert. After learning that Djarin had acquired the Darksaber through combat, Paz Vizsla challenged him to aduel to regain his clan's sword, but failed.[2]
