Houks were asentientspecies of hulkinghumanoids that had massiveforearms and were capable of building heavy musculature.
Biology and appearance[]
The Houk were asentient,humanoidspecies distinguished by their muscular bulk, and largearms[1] that ended in four-fingered hands.[2] They had tinyeyes set deep in their thick,bone-ridged skull.[5]
History[]
A number ofwars were waged between members of the Houk race and theWeequay species.[6] During theSeparatist Crisis, abrawl erupted between members of the two species.[7]
Houks in the galaxy[]

A Houk
Owing to their powerful builds, Houkprisoners were found in large numbers in thespicemines ofKessel.[8]
Some found employment asgladiators. During the earlyyears of theGalactic Empire'sreign,Borbig Drob earned the title of champion at theStormblade Bloodfest on nine occasions, before fighting at theGladiator Night event on theplanetLothal. There he fought against theFeeorin gladiatorWarjak before being defeated by theTrandoshanbounty hunterBossk.[1] At some point during theGalactic Civil War,another Houk fought alongside aRed Nikto and aTrandoshan. Although they had a single opponent, theWookiee known asKrrsantan, the Houk and his fighting partners were all killed in the pit.[9]
Around5 ABY,[10] the Houk siblingsJorgatha andGorgeous Su served in theNew Republic's61st Mobile Infantry on the planetTroithe.[11]
Behind the scenes[]

Borbig Drob
The Houk were first created for theStar Wars Legends novelHan Solo and the Lost Legacy, which was written byBrian Daley and released in1980.[12] Though Daley's novel is now part of theStar Wars Legends continuity rather than the currentcanon,[13] the Houk species was canonized in the2014 junior novelEzra's Gamble byRyder Windham.[1]
