Gorima was amale Selkath who lived during theGalactic War between theGalactic Republic and thereconstituted Sith Empire. Gorima, a famousbiologist on hisplanet, was hired byColonel Rian Darok of theRepublic Special Forces Division andDarth Arkous of theDark Council on the behalf of theOrder of Revan. Darok and Arkous tasked Gorima with the creation of an "Infinite Army" usingRakatan technology fused with living beings.^[3]

Gorima conducted his studies in an underwater facility onManaan. When he arrived to a satisfactory result, however, Republic and Imperial strike teams sent byTheron Shan andLana Beniko fought their ways in the base and confronted him. Darok and Arkous, who observed the situation from a distance, then activated the facility's self-destruct system.^[3] Gorima died in the destruction, as later confirmed byDarth Xarion.^[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Gorima first appeared in Game Update 2.9 of theMMORPGStar Wars: The Old Republic, released byBioWare in2014. If the player character chooses thedark side conversational option, Gorima is murdered by Jakarro. If thelight side option is chosen, Gorima's life is spared,^[3] but he dies in the facility's destruction.^[2]
