Gigorans, like Senna, were often enslaved for their great strength.

Gigorans were aspecies of furry giants, in many ways similar to theWookiees.[6] They had fur ranging in color from white to grey or light brown.[2] They could learn to understand other languages, but could not themselves speakGalactic Basic Standard. In order to communicate with species that did not speak their language, Gigorans often woretranslating vocoders on their mouths[7] to speak otherlanguages besidesGigoran.[4]

Behind the scenes[]

The Gigorans originated in the1994Legendsrole-playing game article "It's a Gambler's Life," published in theStar Wars Adventure Journal 4.[14] They werecanonized through their inclusion in a 2016 update toStar Wars: Commander.[1] The first named Gigoran in canon wasMoroff inRogue One: A Star Wars Story.[15]

Unlike their canon counterparts, the Legends Gigorans did not require vocoders to speakGalactic Basic Standard.[14]
