Usage

Fantail-class destroyers were a class ofdestroyer that saw use by theCorporate Alliance and later thenaval forces of theConfederacy of Independent Systems during theClone Wars against theGalactic Republic. During the war, in which the Corporate Alliance sided with the Confederacy,Fantail-class destroyers were used to defend the corporation'sheadquarters on theplanetMurkhana and were supported bySikurdian privateers.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Fantail-class destroyers were first mentioned in the newStar Warscanon inRise of the Separatists, a2019 supplement toFantasy Flight Games' series ofStar Wars Roleplaying products.[1] In theStar Wars Legends continuity, theFantail-class destroyer was introduced inLabyrinth of Evil, a2005 novel authored byJames Luceno, in which it was simply referred to as "Fantail."[2] It later received its full name inThe Essential Guide to Warfare, a2012 reference book authored byJason Fry andPaul R. Urquhart.[3]
