Count of Serenno was a title held byDooku[3] ofHouse Serenno ascount of theplanetSerenno, with his fatherGora and his brotherRamil, who lost the title with theinvasion of Serenno, having held the title previously.[1] During a dinner between the two of them,Wilhuff Tarkin once referred to Dooku by his title and suggested it would be the name Dooku would try to use as leader of a galaxy-wide autocracy, which Dooku claimed was not his end goal.[4] Dooku continued to hold the title untilhisdeath during theBattle of Coruscant.[5] Thecape Dooku wore was the emblem of the Count of Serenno.[3] In10 BBY,Chrodber served as the Count of Serenno and was present aboard theFirst Light, ayacht owned byCrimson Dawncrime lordDryden Vos.[6]

Behind the scenes[]

The Count of Serenno title first appeared through Dooku in the2002 filmStar Wars: Episode IIAttack of the Clones, the second installment of theStar Warsprequel trilogy.[12] The title was first identified incanon viaStar Wars Character Encyclopedia: Updated and Expanded.[3] InTarkin, the title was used but with incorrect capitalization: "Count" was left lowercase.[4]
