Chita first appeared in "The Smuggler," a non-canon short film directed byMasahiko Otsuka that will be released as part of thethird volume of theStar Wars: Visions series. The animated short, produced byStudio Trigger, released onDisney+ onOctober 29,2025. The character was first introduced at theStar Wars: Visions panel atCelebration Japan onApril 19, 2025.[3] She is voiced byAmi Maeshima in the originalJapanese version and byEmma Myers in the English dub.[1]
