Captain of the Guard

TheCaptain of the Guard was a title given to a commander of troops. In theOnderonian military, the title was given to three concurrent individuals. In3951 BBY, it was held byBostuco,Riiken, andGelesi, who inherited the title uponSullio's death.

TheSenate Guard of theGalactic Republic and theEmpire also used this rank and its holder answered directly to (and was likely appointed and dismissed by) aSenate committee.

Jesra Loture served as Captain of the Guard during theSeparatist Crisis andClone Wars.

The same title was used by thestormtrooper officer in charge of the guard atKharys's fortress. TheRryatt Ceremonial Guard onKashyyyk was also led by aWookiee of this rank.^[1]
