Black One was aT-70 X-wing starfighter that was used byResistancepilotCommanderPoe Dameron. Dameron was usually accompanied byhis trusty co-pilot, the sphericalastromech droidBB-8.

Black One equipped with a booster pod affixed to the aft of the fuselage.
Black One was aT-70 X-wing starfighter manufactured by theIncom-FreiTek Corporation. Like all T-70X-wingfighters,Black One was armed with fourTaim & BakKX12 laser cannons.[1]Black One was also equipped withferrosphere paint which was used to jam enemymissile locks.[5]
For theevacuation of D'Qar,[17]Black One was equipped with anoverdrive thruster.[4] It was BB-8's favorite starship.[21]
History[]
ResistancepilotCommanderPoe Dameron used the X-wing during theCold War with theFirst Order. During missions withBlack Squadron the fighter became damaged several times: in thebattle over a desert planet Dameron crash-landedBlack One,[10] therefore placing it out of commission for several missions[22] until it was repaired by BB-8 andIvee.[16] When First OrderCommanderMalarus stole the fighter during themission to Cato Neimoidia, BB-8 saw himself forced to crash-landBlack One again to stop the enemy officer in the cockpit.[20] While the fighter was being repaired onboard theRaddus[23] and onD'Qar, Dameron flew astandard T-70. BB-8 eventually incorporated one of theprocessor units of the destroyed Ivee into the fighter.[24]
Dameron flew it during theBattle of Takodana and theBattle of Starkiller Base, where he used it to destroy the First Order'ssuperweapon,Starkiller Base.[11]Black One saw action during theEvacuation of D'Qar where Poe destroyed theFulminatrix's defenseturrets to clear a path for the Resistancebombers.[17]
Black One was destroyed byKylo Ren during theBattle of Oetchi when he launched torpedoes into the starboardhangar of theRaddus fromhis TIE silencer.[17]
