- "I guess Druckenwell's gone, too?"
"And Falleen. They've reached Rodia. It's the heavy end of the hammer, pounding and pounding." - ―Jacen Solo andJaina Solo[1]
During theYuuzhan Vong War, in26 ABY, theplanetFalleen wasattacked by theYuuzhan Vong. During their campaign to cut off theCorellian Run, Falleen was among those worlds conquered with others beingKalarba,Druckenwell andRodia. Since theFalleen had not joined theNew Republic, the vast majority of the species lived on the planet and they could expect no New Republic reinforcements. Following the battle, the Yuuzhan Vong sent the population into reeducation camps.
History[]
Invasion[]
- "Unbelievable."
- ―Jacen Solo wondering if the Falleen had fought or used their infamous pheromones to buy a measure of freedom.[1]

The Rimward planets along the Corellian Run came under threat of attack after the fall of Kalarba
In25 ABY, theextra-galactic race of invaders, theYuuzhan Vong, launched a massiveconquest campaign directed against all worlds of theGalactic community.[5]Less than a year later,[6] in an attempt to cut off the Rimward leg of theCorellian Run, a vitalhyperspace route,[1] the Yuuzhan Vong initiated a blitz across theDoldur sector[7] anddevastatedKalarba. The isolated worlds along the Corellian Run toward theOuter Rim Territories went on full alert as the Yuuzhan Vong captured them one after another. Confidence in the strength of these worlds had been low, and other star systems not yet touched by the war had expected an influx ofFalleen andRodianrefugees.[1]
The Falleen people had such a strong isolationist spirit that they did not even join theNew Republic.[8] When the Yuuzhan Vonginvasion fleet reachedFalleen, the world surrendered almost immediately.[2] While the planetsDruckenwell and Falleen were captured by the invaders, the planetRodia wasplaced in a vulnerable position.[1] Afterward, thePeace Brigade, a paramilitary group loyal to the Yuuzhan Vong, captured at least one refugee convoy from Falleen and enslaved its passengers.[9]
Aftermath[]
The worlds and star systems conquered at that time, including Falleen, had been home to some of the most visible and active starfaring species. Whether by design on the part of the invaders or merely by coincidence, this strategy gave further fuel to the arguments ofnon-Human activists. The most paranoid believed that the New Republic leadership had somehow orchestrated a conspiracy to do what theEmpire had failed to do – to kill all non-Humans.[2]
Many Falleen had hoped that their famouspheromone-based powers of persuasion might make otherhumanoids friendly toward them, perhaps saving their world. However, the Yuuzhan Vong moved the Falleen into isolation within reeducation camps.[2] Falleen was not liberated before the end of the war,[7] when thesurrender of the invaders was signed.[10] Following the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, thenew galactic government had even less contact with Falleen and its inhabitants than it had before.[11]
