The landscape of Balnab

During theClone Wars, Balnab was in its early stages oforganic development and was home to stranded members of aspecies oftentacle-faced beings who took the nameBalnab.

The Balnab civilization later found itself enslaved by a tyrant calling himselfAlbee Dewaw, who appeared before the natives as an enormoushologram. Terrified by the superior technology of Dewaw, the Balnab obeyed his every whim.

At around21 BBY,C-3PO andR2-D2 arrived on the planet shortly after a misadventure on Patitite Pattuna and revealed Albee Dewaw to be a projection controlled by a group ofDUM-series pit droids. Upon learning this, the Balnabs promptly attacked their droid masters, while C-3PO and R2-D2 quietly left the scene.
