Aballista was a primitive but effective weapon that fired heavy bolts with ropes at distant targets.^[2] The weapon was used by theTusken Raiders ofTatooine. Members of a Tusken tribe used the ballista in an effort with the citizens ofFreetown,MarshalCobb Vanth, andMandalorianbounty hunterDin Djarin tokill agreater krayt dragon. The bolts were able to pierce the krayt dragon's hide, but the Tuskens and citizens of Freetown were unable to hold the creature down with the ropes. However, Djarin was able tokill it.^[1]
