Anakin Skywalker's Podracer

Anakin Skywalker's Podracer was aPodracer custom-built by a youngAnakin Skywalker as aslave onTatooine. It was used to secure his freedom and the replacementhyperdrive components forQueenAmidala'sship during theBoonta Eve Classic.^[3]

Characteristics[]

The blue-and-silverPodracer, built byAnakin Skywalker, was equipped with a custom specification pair of620C racing engines made byRadon-UlzerRepulsorlift.^[6] Skywalker's racer followed the basic design of otherpodracing machines, with two high-powered engines hauling a smallcockpit behind them.^[7] The engines were linked by anenergy binder and connected to the cockpit withcontrol cables manufactured bySteelton.^[5] The vehicle was smaller and slimmer than other Podracers. The cockpit's total length was 3.15meters and the engines were 7 meters in length.^[7] While the engines were originally waste items discarded byWatto, Skywalker developed a new type offuel spraying device and a system that efficiently fed fuel to the fuel chamber which greatly improved the thrust.^[6] The Podracer reached a maximumspeed of 947kilometers per hour and was able to rise to an altitude of 105 meters with the help of repulsorlifts.^[5]

History[]

In theBoonta Eve Classic race in32 BBY, Skywalker used his custom-built podracer to defeat theDugSebulba and win his freedom from slavery.^[3]

Behind the scenes[]

InLEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales, this Podracer was given the non-canonical nameDestiny's Favorite.^[8]
