TheAmma protest was a civil demonstration by the population of thecity ofAmma on theplanetBacrana. Protesting againstImperial atrocities, the demonstrators peacefully marched onCentral Sector Square. The protestors were met by a line of Imperialstormtroopers backed byAll Terrain Scout Transports who opened fire after the assembled masses refused to disperse.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The Amma protest was first mentioned in the1995 RPG sourcebookFlashpoint! Brak Sector and served as historical background for several characters. The book placed the event one year prior to its main story, which was set some weeks after theBattle of Yavin,[1] thus in1 BBY.[2] The article "Galaxywide NewsNets" fromStar Wars Adventure Journal 7 later placed the Amma protest on 36:6:7 GrS (in1 ABY), incorrectly positioning the protest afterFlashpoint! Brak Sector's main story.[4]
