History[]
Circa25,000 BBY, what became the Allied Tion was part of theHonorable Union of Desevro and Tion andJaminere Marches, some of many fiefdoms that formed the remnants of the empire ofXim the Despot.[2] Most of the worlds of the Allied Tion were settled during theExpansionist Era or in the early period of theGalactic Republic.[4] The region that became the Allied Tion was traditionally a buffer between theTion Hegemony and the worlds of theKingdom of Cron, with the worlds ofLianna,Barseg,Cadinth andJaminere jostling for influence.[2]
The Tion Cluster joined theGalactic Republic circa23,900 BBY,[5] and in the Republic's final years, the Cluster became divided between theTion Hegemony and theKingdom of Cron. Both these states joined theConfederacy of Independent Systems.[2] Several battles were fought here during theClone Wars when the sector was contested between the Separatists and the Republic.
During theGalactic Civil War, theTion Hegemony paid for its support for the Confederacy when theGalactic Empire carved new sectors out of its territory to minimize the risk of Separatism. This resulted in the Allied Tion sector, but the region had little historical identity.[2] The region became known for its manufacturing and trade, and the Allied Tion was actively patrolled by theImperial Navy, including theWarlord, because of the volume of trade passing along theCadinth Run, and also because of its vital strategic importance to the Empire, both as a supply base and because of its location on the mainhyperlanes between theCore Worlds and theCorporate Sector.[4]
After theBattle of Endor, the sector and the entire Cluster integrated intoZsinj's Empire. They stayed underZsinj's control untilhis death in8 ABY, claiming independence from theNew Republic and theGalactic Empire, including during theThrawn campaign.[5]
Following the death ofGrand AdmiralThrawn, the sector was under the rule ofMoffGronn.[8]
Astrography[]

The Allied Tion sector and its surroundingsectors
The capital of the sector wasJaminere, but the best known planet in the Allied Tion wasLianna, home ofSanthe/Sienar Technologies. Other major planets in Allied Tion includeCadinth andLorrad.[4]
ThePerlemian Trade Route passed through the Allied Tion in threestar systems,[2] making the sector significant both as a trading hub and link between theCore Worlds and theCorporate Sector, and as a strategic area.[4] The Allied Tion's main intra-sector route was theCadinth Run, though little of its traffic passed beyondJaminere toDravione and theDesevran Trace.[2]
Economy[]
During the Old Republic, the Allied Tion became the most active sector of the Cluster. During the Empire, it was a seat of manufacturing and trade, and almost 15% ofthe galaxy'spassenger liners hailed from the sector, presumably as part ofSanthe Passenger and Freight. Indeed, the Allied Tion was dominated by theSanthe/Sienar corporate family, based on Lianna.[4]
