Plot summary[]

The episode opens with theyounglingsKai Brightstar,Nash Durango,Nubs,Lys Solay andPadawanWes Vinik boarding theCrimson Firehawk for a delivery run. The droidsR0-M1 andRJ-83 follow their masters. RJ-83 bumps into R0-M1, prompting the largerastromech droid to tell RJ off inBinary.

Once everyone is aboard, Durango prepares theFirehawk for takeoff but the ship'sforward thruster plug breaks down. Vinik offers the services of his droid R0-M1 and tells him to bring a reluctant RJ-83 along. The two droids protest but Vinik reassures R0 that RJ-83 knows his way aroundKublop Springs. A grumbling R0 and RJ roll away toMarlaa's junkyard.

At the junkyard, R0-M1 sorts through a tool box, throwing a wrench and cover at RJ-83. RJ squeals in protest and then spots the thruster plug at the top of a stack of crates. R0 fires up his thrusters and reaches the top. However, RJ-83 is not willing to let the rival droid claim victory and purposely topples the stack. An automated loader picks up the thruster and shovels it into its storage compartment. The loader takes the scrap metal including the forward thruster into an automatedtrain to be processed for scrap.

As the train rolls away on the tracks, the two droids decide to put aside their differences. R0-M1 lets RJ-83 piggy back on him as he rockets after the train. RJ-81 attempts to grab the edge of the train car but loses his grip. R0-M1 catches RJ-83 in mid-air and the two continue their pursuit. The two droids hit a metal railway structure but continue their pursuit. RJ-83 convinces R0-M1 to throw him forward onto the train car. RJ manages to retrieve the thruster plug and attempts to jump towards R0-M1 but underestimates his jump and descends into the forest below. RO-M1 manages to rescue RJ-83 using his jets.

The two droids return to theTenoo Jedi Temple with the forward thruster plug. Durango thanks R0-M1 and the younglings scurry aboard theCrimson Firehawk. RJ-83 is upset at being unrecognized but R0-M1 extends one of his appendages in a gesture of friendship. He lets RJ-83 ride on top of his dome. Vinik commends them for learning the value of teamwork.
