7824 was aB1-series battle droid that served in theTrade Federation Droid Army. During theNaboo Crisis, 7824 fought against theGungan Grand Army at theGreat Grass Plains. The B1's designation was written on the back of it'scomlink booster pack.^[2]

7824 first appeared in the1999 filmStar Wars: Episode IThe Phantom Menace, the first installment of theStar Warsprequel trilogy. While thedroid's designation can be spotted in film,^[2] the numbers could not be identified untilStar Wars: The Complete Visual Dictionary, New Edition gave a translation for B1 numerals.^[5]
