Nariss Siv Loqesh, later known asAndov Syn, was aKerestianmale who forged a successful career for himself as abounty hunter during the reign of theGalactic Empire and the earlyyears of theNew Republic. Loqesh specialized in claimingbounties placed on other bountyhunters, and he achieved a capture rate of almost 90%. In3 ABY, in the wake of theBattle of Hoth, the ImperialSupreme CommanderDarth Vader summoned several high-profile bounty hunters to pursue the fugitiveRebelsHan Solo andPrincessLeia Organa, and he commanded that Loqesh join the hunt. The Kerestian learned of his commission from Vader via theBimmexpeditorCrote, and he immediately turned down the assignment, because he preferred to work for only himself. The Empire did not take kindly to Loqesh's rejection of Vader's demand, and a bounty was placed on Loqesh's head, forcing him to go into hiding.
About ayear and a half later, Loqesh reemerged and resumed his bounty hunting career under the alias "Andov Syn." He hired out his services to both corporations and wanted criminals, and he soon gained notoriety as a result of an assignment that he completed on the planetAdim.
