Xamuel Lennox was anavalofficer who hailed from aline of noble militarymen. Lennox detested thepolitical maneuvering and betrayals among his colleagues in theImperial Navy, but he became adept at deception to safeguard his position ascaptain of theImperial Star DestroyerTyrant. He fought in thewar against theAlliance to Restore the Republic, which he viewed to be threatening to restore aRepublic that was just as corrupt as theGalactic Empire he served. As a result, Lennox became cynical about the universal nature of deceit.
Nevertheless, Captain Lennoxcommanded Imperial navalforces in thePakuuni sector and led tenStar Destroyers in theBattle of Turkana in1 BBY. The Rebellion proved the effectiveness of its newT-65 X-wing starfighters at the battle, where CaptainFirmus Piett was critical of Lennox's tactics that forced the Imperials to retreat. Lennox and theTyrant were later attached toDeath Squadron, thebattle group of theSith LordDarth Vader, which initiated theBattle of Hoth in3 ABY to flush out the Rebellion. Blockading theplanetHoth with theTyrant at Death Squadron's forefront, Lennox's eagerness to catch fleeing Rebelvessels was quashed when the Rebels'ion cannon inactivated his Star Destroyer, allowing the Rebels to escape thesystem.

The captain lost Madine to a Rebel boarding crew as theTyrant was inactivated again by the Rebelion cannon. After recovering theTyrant, Lennox attempted to recapture Madine from the evacuating RebelcruiserChampion, but it, too, evaded his attack.
Darth Vader thenassigned Captain Lennox to remove aJedi,Rachi Sitra, fromCloud City on theplanetBespin. Tasking thesoldier who had initially escorted Madine to lead his forces in thecity, Lennox successfully minimized interference from Vader's affairs by driving the Jedi away and capturing Rebel sympathizers. Thenext year, Lennox and theTyrant were present at the decisiveRebel victory in theEndor system that ushered the Empire's collapse, and severalyears later, the Rebellion's fledglingNew Republic captured Lennox and his ship, which they renamed theRebel Dream.(Read more…)Below are some of the current community projects happening around Wookieepedia.
