Konk (known in Japan asBonbone) is a recurring boss inThe Legendary Starfy series. He is the first boss in the first four games of the series, and also the bonus boss in level 9 of theThe Legendary Starfy. He is a well known bully who constantly pestersStarfy and his friends, however he is hardly considered a dangerous threat and is seen as more of an annoying nuisance. He appears to have an odd quirk where in the middle of his sentences, he tends to blurt out the word,"KONK!", hence his name.

• Starfy is neither a star or a starfish. WhenTOSE are asked whether Starfy is a star or a starfish, their policy is to respond that he is neither.

• Starfy made a cameo as an elusive enemy named "Starfish" in theNintendo DSMario gameSuper Princess Peach, likely becauseSuper Princess Peach was co-developed by TOSE andNintendo.

• InDensetsu no Starfy 3,Wario from theMario series and his ownWario series makes an appearance as an ally of Starfy, where he helps him get through theUndersea Ruins with three of his transformations;Flaming Wario,Bubble Wario andPuffy Wario. He also teaches Starfy's equivalent of hisGround Pound ability; an enhanced version of theShooting Star ability.

• During the year 2000,Densetsu no Starfy was planned to be released forGame Boy Color but the game was re-built for theGame Boy Advance, witha few differences. Known differences in the gameplay of theNintendo Space World 2000 trial demo include "Kyorosuke" originally being called "Kyororon", the inclusion of a working debug menu, the apparent lack of theExtra! screen and a different design for doors.

  • The costume was one of the winning designs of theWanted Kisekae contest, a contest where people would send in their designs for Stuff to Nintendo's headquarters, with a chance of the designs appearing in the final game in some way, either as one of the actual Specials or in theStaff Roll 1. "Princess and Umbrella" was designed by Eriko Kawashima.

• Starfy,Starly andMoe own aWii, known as the "Fii" with a game resemblingWii Sports in theDensetsu no Starfy R manga.
