ABOUT BATH 1995

Bath, United Kingdom, hosted the third European Youth Summer Olympic Days in 1995, from 9–14 July. This edition saw a gathering of nearly 1709 athletes aged 14 to 18 from across Europe, with competitions in sports such as basketball, swimming, athletics, and volleyball. Notably, the event featured future Olympians and world champions, continuing to reinforce the EYOF’s role as a stepping stone for elite-level competition. Bath’s modern sports facilities, including its famous university sporting complex, provided an excellent backdrop for the event. With athletes from 47 countries in attendance, the festival contributed to building international cooperation and friendship among young competitors.
