Synopsis[]

The episode begins as the sun joyfully plays its violin, with Rube simultaneously narrating in the background. The Star family seem to be peacefully relaxing in bed, that is, excluding the Star family pets. As Tinkle, Ouchie, and Pinkeye are all introduced and have fun together in the upstairs lavatory, GrandPat comes into the scene, needing to use it. The age-old starfish is angered by their behavior and runs to the downstairs bathroom, really needing to go. Unfortunately, GrandPat finds himself tripping down dozens of stairs after slipping on a doll, eventually crashing into the downstairs bathroom and destroying the toilet.

The Star family is later seen in their car, planning to take GrandPat to the bathroom in the mall instead. To fix their toilet troubles, the sea-stars hire a plumber to take care of things. As the dimwitted breed flip their way off to the mall, the plumber enters the family's screwball abode - not knowing that the downstairs facility is the one in need of fixing; Rube then explains that he can only hear the sounds coming from the upper floor. The orange fish creeps upstairs and enters the bathroom, quickly examining Tinkle - unfortunately for Patrick's pets, he doesn't just see the toilet as broken, but a threat, taking them to the junkyard. Once the critters are shipped off in the plumber's truck, and the Star family pay their thanks, they re-enter their accommodation. Bunny then orders her son to feed Tinkle, and Patrick immediately scoops up a bunch of toilet paper tools to feed the latrine. Quickly, the pink sea creature realizes something is wrong - Tinkle isn't consuming his food. With such inactivity presented, Patrick presumes him as dead, and the family mourns his supposed death.

At the dump, Tinkle, Pinkeye, and Ouchie roam around, confused and scared. Things only seem to get worse for the trio, as they encounter an angry, vicious guard worm - furious at them for disrupting its sleep. The worm chases the three, wanting to teach them a lesson, and various physical, near-death escapades ensue. At one point, the end seems near for the animals, with the guarder ready to chomp them full - but Tinkle's natural toilet abilities come into play, shriveling up the worm's head and scaring it away. Patrick's pets joyfully escape the junkyard, as their "uncredible" journey had just begun, following the sun for guidance.

The beings then enter the streets of Bikini Bottom, where they spot a Trader Barg'n's. Ready to eat their behinds off, Tinkle, Ouchie, and Pinkeye enter, and are subsequently kicked out, as "no toilets or vermin are allowed." To get past the rule-abiding cashier, the three stack on top of each other and shoplift their beloved delicacies - surprisingly, the trio escape consequence-free. Realizing the powers of their newfound incognito, (dubbed "Toilet Man"^[8]) they all use it to get around town. Immediately, the pets encounter a fish, asking for them to do something about a baby abandoned in a burning building - in a swift and innovative manner, they save the infant's life and give it to an incidental. Perch Perkins swoops in and makes a report of the scene, with said citizen declaring that it isn't her baby.

After their heroic rescue, a tired and exhausted Tinkle, Pinkeye, and Ouchie are seen in the jungle, losing their sense of direction and thinking that they'll never find their way home. Suddenly, Rube makes his way outside of a few bushes, stopping his narration and telling them that their home is right next door. The three then make their way to the front of the Star house, joyfully prancing around its walkway - but the happiness doesn't last, with the trio shockingly spotting a funeral held for Tinkle. Various Bikini Bottomites are seen mourning his "death" and paying their respects, talking about all the great things he's done for society, and flushing a latrine handle on his grave. The critters use their earlier disguise from last time and get in line to do so, but while hugging a grieving Bunny, Patrick and Squidina, it slips off.

Patrick's pets happily reunite with the Star family, and Cecil declares Tinkle's funeral "officially canceled." Rube then declares it the end of their "uncredible" journey, with all of the other Bikini Bottomites grumpily leaving in disappointment. As Rube gleefully eats his strawberry funeral pie, the animals surround the goldfish and fight him for the pastry, with an iris closing out the episode.

This episode was confirmed by Cartoonlounge.de onApril 22,2022.^[9]

OnNovember 3, 2022, the Patrick StarInstagram account posted a chart of cropped series screenshots with a month under each of them, asking "Your birth month is the energy you give off.." One of those shots happened to be from this episode.^[10] Ironically, this occurred one day before the episode was originally supposed to air.

Production notes[]

• Kyle Morrison, who plussed the storyboards for this segment, said they had more or said responsibilities than before, "fleshing out Dan Becker's great roughs."^[5] Morrison made various comments about the production of the episode.
  • Morrison said that they "can now proudly put 'boarded a whistling toilet hopping down the street' on my resumé" when talking about the scene featuring the three pets making their way around Bikini Bottom.^[5]
  • Initially, the rough storyboard had normal shoppers trying to stop "Toilet Man,"^[8] but Morrison though it would be funny to make them all "old fish shopping on a senior discount day, ready to make a citizen arrest."^[16]
  • Morrison only got to work on three segments ofPatrick, (this being their second, following "Shrinking Stars"^[17]) and was disappointed that they didn't get more time to work with Patrick's family, saying that they were "highlight of the spin-off." They said GrandPat was "a ton of fun to draw" during the toilet-flushing grave sequence.^[18]
  • Despite Ian Vazquez roughing Rube's faces near the ending sequence, Morrison believes that it was the first time they got to ham up a character's expressions for a goofy line delivery. They said that "Either way it came out A-MAZING in the final cut!"^[19]
