• The DVD was released one day after "Dunces and Dragons," the episode it is based on, premiered onNickelodeon in the United States.
• The back cover of this DVD contains pictures from the episode "Dunces and Dragons."
• Advertisements in this DVD case are advertisements for other Nickelodeon DVDs and VHS tapes (also known as "videos") forSpongeBob SquarePants:Where's Gary? (VHS and DVD),Absorbing Favorites (VHS and DVD),The Complete 3rd Season (DVD only),Avatar: The Last Airbender: Book 1: Water, Volume 1 (DVD only), and Nick Picks Volumes1,2, and3 (DVD only).   • SpongeBob has a shield.
  • There is no bridge.
  • Patrick has his regular clothes instead of his medieval clothes.
  • Squidly is only to be seen in the spine.
• On the Russian cover, thedragon jellyfish and Planktonamor's tower are nowhere to be seen, despite the fact that said cover is a faithful modification of the North American cover.

Errors[]

• On the back cover of this DVD, the running time is stated to be 86 minutes, but for some reason, the disc itself says it is 95 minutes.
• Even though "Enemy In-Law" is 67a and "Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy VI: The Motion Picture" is 67b, this DVD has the opposite (67b and 67a respectively).
• The credits for "SquidBob TentaclePants" are shown, despite that episode not being included on this DVD.
