"Livin' in the Sunlight, Lovin' in the Moonlight"_[sic] is a song that plays in the pilot episode "Help Wanted" whenSpongeBob serves a hungry swarm ofanchovies a large amount ofKrabby Patties. It briefly plays again at the end of the episode, after SpongeBob fires several Krabby Patties at Patrick that send him flying out of theKrusty Krab.

It was originally written byAl Sherman and Al Lewis for the 1930 filmThe Big Pond, for famous French singerMaurice Chevalier. It was covered byTiny Tim in1968 on his first album,God Bless Tiny Tim, which is the version that played in "Help Wanted."

Living in The Sunshine, Loving in The Moonlight credits in Help Wanted 1999 version — The song "Livin' in the Sunlight, Lovin' in the Moonlight" is still incorrectly listed in the 1999 credits version, but with some slight grammar changes.

The end credits for the1997 and1999 versions of "Help Wanted" both have this song incorrectly listed as "Living in the Sunshine, Loving in the Moonlight."_[sic]
The only known international dub to have the song dubbed is theGreek one, despite being a voice-over.
